Austin Cawlishaw – Photos by Austin
Austin was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. At nineteen, he joined the Canadian Air Force, training as an Air Force Policeman. It was during these next 24 years of service that his interest in photography grew a result of specialized police training and the opportunity to travel. A highlight of his photographic career was winning the Black and White category in a competition for the Canadian Forces in Canada and Europe in 1982. In June of 1988, Austin moved to Thunder Bay, ON with his wife and son to work as an addiction counsellor. His interests in landscape, nature and portrait photography naturally continued to grow alongside Lake Superior’s viewscapes and in 1997; Austin decided to pursue his love of photography on a full-time basis.

Gregg Johns- Imagetech
A lifelong resident of Thunder Bay, Gregg learned photographic theory from his father. Having spent over twenty years with ‘camera and darkroom’, Gregg decided to make the move into the twenty-first century with new techniques in hand – computers, scanners and related imaging devices. Through his company, Imagetech, a commercial photographic business, Gregg offers precise information on the many fascinating aspects of Photography, including digital cameras. Interestingly, although he derives his entire income from photographic work, Gregg’s true passion is in making photographs and printing for his own personal satisfaction. The creative applications of scenic photography and outdoor portraiture are among his favourite exercises. Gregg can provide information and demonstrate technique, which will advance the skills of even the most inexperienced photographers..
